Neon and AirCon
Thats Taipai airport in a nutshell. To be fair thats probably most airports, but this one has very little else to entertain. There are a few little things, but not much. 1 cafe/bar, a few random dodgy duty free shops, and free wireless. Slow free wireless. There are also a lot of quiet bored looking people. I can relate. its boring. I'm off to get another 4 euro can of heineken.

Warned you about dodgy airlines and airports in China-Lite. Warned you to listen to your father. No plane flies for 17 hours from Taipei to Amsterdam, except via another airport, bumpy landing,etc. Hope you enjoyed your hour or so at Bangkok airport, or did they lock you in the plane? Anyway, gives time for your excess luggage flying via Qantas to catch up a bit - at that price it should fly like a bird. Looked at the China Airlines website and , ubnfortunately, you'd been looking at the luggage allowance for USA when you thought you could take twice as much on the plane. Never mind, part of life's story. We are all missing you already and moving up plans to hit Europe and cadge a bed.
